How Do I Love Thee?
To begin “Love Month,” this is a simple gesture to let family, friends, and loves know how you feel.
Take a piece of paper (I like to use recycled, fibrous paper for its texture, or even better, use tea to create an aged look with computer paper — see my post Adding Interest to Paper…With Tea!) and make a list of all the reasons the person is dear to you.
The list can begin with a line from a love poem, like Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Sonnet 43: “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.”
Put the list in a place where the intended recipient is bound to find it: in a sack lunch, propped up on a bedside table, or sitting on the mantle.
It’s always nice to know that you are appreciated…
